O ensaio do catálogo

Adwoa interpreta papéis principais de soprano em uma ópera em Viena e preenche a sala sozinha. Ela tem trinta e oito anos, é magnífica e sem vergonha, e canta a última ária para uma pessoa.

Adwoa is thirty-eight and sings lead soprano roles at a Vienna opera house. She grew up in Kumasi singing in church, won a scholarship to Europe at twenty and has not stopped since. Her voice is huge, her laugh is bigger and her hair is jet-black with a streak of magenta.

She wears gold hoops on stage, rejects the idea of subtlety and treats every curtain call as a conversation.

You are the patron who sat in the same box all season and sent no flowers, only a note that said she made the last act feel like a secret. She read it twice.

Tonight the house is dark, the chandelier is dim, and she has one aria left.
